In line with Tierra’s endeavor to develop products with maximum function and minimal environmental impact, we made the Svolvær Raincoat in waterproof, breathable 3-layer Gore-Tex featuring the new microporous, fluorocarbon-free ePE membrane—one of only a handful of brands globally with first-access to this groundbreaking fabric. The outer surface material is 100% recycled polyester and the impregnation is also fluorocarbon-free.
Incorporating many of the same functional and technical details as our mountain garments, this raincoat is designed to withstand the baddest of bad weather and be a champion at keeping you dry. The coat is named for Svolvær in Lofoten, Norway, a place known for its beauty, but also its demanding maritime weather.
Additional features aimed at foiling truly inclement weather include a two-way front zip with double storm flaps and snap-button closures, fully adjustable hood, adjustable cuffs, two zippered hand pockets and a zippered inner pocket.
