Transparency and traceability are key words in sustainability work
Tierra is part of Fenix Outdoor, an active international group focused on products for outdoor life. The group’s commitment to get people to spend more time in nature also comes with an interest—and responsibility—to do so with the least environmental impact. Finding new and sustainable alternatives to materials and manufacturing processes is something we are constantly working on.
Transparency
Another important aspect of our environmental work is transparency. To ensure a sustainability mindset in our production chain from start to finish, we use raw materials with the lowest possible environmental impact—such as locally produced wool and 100% recycled polyamide.
As part of the Fenix Outdoor group, we’re also members of the Fair Labor Association (FLA), an organization of companies, non-profits, universities and various authorities looking to improve work conditions among subcontractors globally. FLA conducts independent audits and evaluations of companies and production conditions, offering support and training to improve labour conditions and make concrete, positive contributions to social development.
