If you’re seeking a warm, lightweight down-free all-round jacket and also care about the environment, the Belay 120, made from 100% repurposed materials, is for you. The outer fabric is recycled polyamide, featherlight but durable, while the insulation is rescued Swedish wool. Collaborating with the Wool Office in Gotland and German-based company Lavalan, we collect wool that would otherwise be discarded and transform it into highly functional, 100% renewable insulation. By using Swedish wool, we also reduce transport costs and carbon emissions. Wool has a unique combination of properties that include good warmth-to-weight ratio, moisture transport from the body, the ability to cool when it's hot, maintain warmth when its wet, and be naturally antibacterial and odor-resistant.
The jacket is stripped of unnecessary details to make it lighter and more functional; the dimensions are slightly larger and longer to fit over other layers. Use it as outerwear on its own or as extra insulation over a shell when it’s really cold. Either way, it’s perfect for staying warm on your next alpine adventure or that cold, windy bike ride to work.
The hood can be adjusted for use with or without a helmet. Other features include a large alpine chest pocket, two large hand pockets with microfleece lining, internal storage pocket, and a two-way front zip with a bottom snap for smooth ventilation. Elastic cuffs and one-handed bottom adjustment.
