If you’re seeking a warm, lightweight down-free all-round jacket and also care about the environment, the Belay 90 Sweater, made from 100% repurposed materials, is for you. The outer fabric is recycled polyamide, featherlight but durable, while the insulation is rescued Swedish wool. Collaborating with the Wool Office in Gotland and German-based company Lavalan, we collect wool that would otherwise be discarded and transform it into highly functional, 100% renewable insulation. By using Swedish wool, we also reduce transport costs and carbon emissions. Wool has a unique combination of properties that include good warmth-to-weight ratio, moisture transport from the body, the ability to cool when it's hot, maintain warmth when its wet and be naturally antibacterial and odor-resistant.
The jacket is stripped of unnecessary details to make it lighter and more functional. Use it as outerwear on its own or as extra insulation under a shell when it’s really cold. Either way, it’s perfect for staying warm on your next alpine adventure or that cold, windy bike ride to work.
Other features include a microfleece-lined collar, two large hand pockets with microfleece lining, large alpine breast pocket, internal storage pocket, two-way front zip with bottom snap closure for smooth ventilation, elastic cuffs and one-handed bottom adjustment. The alpine breast pocket is also a pack bag for the garment, and with a few steps, the jacket can be turned into a practical travel neck pillow.
