Tierra is responsible for this website and wants as many people as possible to be able to access the content and features. We are constantly working to improve the accessibility of the website in order to achieve this. The work is based on existing global guidelines, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Our goal is to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, which is the standard recommended in European accessibility legislation.
Current accessibility
We are aware that there are still parts of the website that are not fully accessible. In our most recent review, we identified the following deficiencies, which we have compiled in the list below:
Some images and videos lack clear or complete descriptions, which means that the content cannot be understood by, for example, screen readers.
The page structure is unclear on some pages. This can negatively affect accessibility for people who navigate using a keyboard.
Some tables lack headings and correct table structure, which may affect how content is perceived by users with screen readers.
Navigation menus sometimes lack the correct list structure, which can make it more difficult to navigate using assistive technology.
The heading structure does not always follow a logical hierarchy, which can negatively affect navigation.
There are links without clear descriptions. This makes it difficult to understand where they lead and can in turn cause confusion or incorrect navigation.
Some videos lack subtitles, which can make the content difficult to access.
Some text has insufficient contrast against the background, which can make the content difficult to perceive for people with impaired vision.
Some pages lack the correct language attribute, which may make them more difficult to read correctly with screen readers.
At Tierra, we work constantly to identify and address these deficiencies.
